They formed in the summer of 2010 by drummer Justin Wallisch and Chris ‘Togy’ Bolka (who would leave the band in 2017) with the sole purpose of making intense and unrelenting death metal that still grooved. Over the years that followed they would bring in bassist Ian Dygulski and vocalist Joe Jacobs. The lineup has most recently been completed by guitarist and longtime friend Ryan Kuder who has added his own unique flair to the music. In 2018 the band was finally able to release their first demo entitled “It’s About Fucking Time.” Recording, mixing and mastering everything themselves, Severed Headshop has remained true to their DIY roots throughout.
